Baby’s Beach Trip – How to Make The Most of Your Baby’s Beach Trip

Are you excited for your baby’s first beach trip? So are we!

The beach is the most astounding place. The cool water, tons of sand, and not to mention the lovely breeze – it’s the perfect outing for a baby and parents!

So how can you make the most of your baby’s first beach trip? Here are some awesome tips to have a memorable trip!

Be Flexible

Don’t be too quick to label next Saturday as “beach day”. Thing is, you never know with a baby! Babies rely heavily on their schedule of eating, sleeping, bathing and what not. Look for a day your baby’s their happiest self and the sun is bright!

Don’t Forget The Sunscreen!

For your baby’s first beach trip, it’s essential you don’t skimp out on the sunscreen. Even if your baby’s going to be napping under the shade or taking a dip in the water with you, don’t forget to apply a generous amount of sunscreen on your baby 15 minutes before going to the beach. And don’t forget to re-apply, too!

Bring a Comfy Towel

Pack a big and comfy towel for the beach. They’re easy to lay anywhere while your baby has fun playing with sand, and they make a great barrier against your baby’s skin and the grainy sand. Besides, you need to wrap your little one in something to dry him off, too!

Don’t Forget the Snacks

If your baby is of an age where he can eat, don’t forget to pack their favourite snacks. As at the beach you won’t have the luxury of a refrigerator, pack unpeeled fruits like bananas and apples and some packed yogurt for some nutrition.

Keep Your Baby Hydrated

The scorching sun and tons of playtime can wear out your baby, so keep them hydrated – and well! Bring bottled water and sippy cups to encourage water intake. Even packed organic fruit juice is a great idea!

Don’t Forget The First Aid Kit!

Don’t forget to pack a small first aid kit. For your baby, keep some anti-allergy and tummy medicine at hand. Pack some antiseptic and non-alcoholic wipes and band-aids, too. And of course, don’t forget to bring aloe gel to prevent the onset of sunburn!

Pack Your Diaper Bag Accordingly

For the beach, be sure to keep some extra clothes, a comfortable blanket, extra diapers and wipes, and some extra towels to make the baby’s first beach trip a smooth one. Don’t forget to pack a changing pad and some plastic bags to keep the trash in.
